About

One of a kind ceramic creations.

100% handmade by Chloe Abla Baigent.

Chloe’s Journey…

Chloe found clay after a life changing trip to the United States, where she met an aunt for the first time, an aunt who also happened to be a ceramic artist. Their shared love of art, plants, and birdlife created an instant bond. Now, even though they live thousands of miles apart, they stay closely connected, regularly sharing their latest creations and creative discoveries.

Before ceramics took centre stage, Chloe built a career in horticulture and landscaping. Her lifelong obsession with gardening, soil health, texture, form, and seasonal patterns continues to shape her artistic practice. She currently works in a community gardening program supporting senior people, a role that deepens her connection to nature and reinforces her belief in the restorative power of creativity and green spaces.

Drawn to the organic, meditative nature of hand building, Chloe creates slowly and intentionally, sculpting unique one off pieces that celebrate imperfection and natural form. Her deep commitment to conserving Australia’s natural environment is a constant thread in her work, often expressed through references to native flora, fauna, and the gardens she strives to grow.

Chloe enjoys collaborating with clients to design and create bespoke décor and functional art pieces, including tiled features, hand basins, sculptural works, and garden art that brings personality and a sense of place to homes and outdoor spaces.

The Studio

Chloe Abla Studio began in early 2018 in Busselton, Western Australia, a regional coastal city known for its crystal clear bay, wineries and family friendly tourism.

In 2022, seeking a deeper connection to nature and a richer, more diverse arts culture, Chloe relocated to Hobart, Southern Tasmania. She now works part time from her backyard studio, producing custom pieces and small batch collections for a select group of Australian shops and galleries.
